This afternoon our new Stations of the Cross in the garden was blessed by Fr. Tony Gelinck, SVD. We started the prayers in the chapel, afterwards we went outside for the blessing. After it was solemnly blessed, we prayed the whole Stations, with the Sisters taking turns in leading the prayer. After the blessing we went back to the chapel for the concluding prayers and for the benediction. It was a moving ceremony. Father affirmed it, too, and said that it was the most beautiful blessing of Stations of the Cross he had ever presided at. He encouraged us to keep in our hearts the experience of this day and to keep in our lives alive the meaning of this celebration and the significance of the cross of Christ.
The weather had also cooperated. This morning it was cloudy and was drizzling a little. There was not a positive sign of a good weather. But the Sisters seemed unperturbed. Nobody commented on the weather. There was a quiet confident trust in the divine Providence: if the Lord wants it, he will provide; and it was like a miracle. In the afternoon, the sun shone so beautifully, the ground was dry and it was pleasantly windy. A perfect afternoon!
We could only thank our good God!
