Yesterday, February 25, 2017, we celebrated our Mother Mary Michael‘s 83rd year of passing over into eternity. To celebrate this day, we were allowed, (since her Beatification process is still in progress) to display her picture in the chapel. Gladly, we did just that. We placed her very big painting, made by the brother of one of our Sisters, under the ambo and decorated it with flowers and a candle. It is our expression of gratitude for all that she is to us and for all that she had done for us.
We honored her by a music presentation during the evening recreation. After reading a few passages about her from the chronicle, the Sisters played a musical interlude. Our budding Recorder players practiced for days and did their best to play their piece. It was a good beginning for our new musicians. It was their way of gratefully and lovingly honoring Mother Mary Michael, who was herself a musician!
We thank God for all the graces he has bestowed on her during her life on earth; we are grateful for all the blessings he has bestowed on us through her intercession.
We are certain that she is praying for all of us, even now. She is surely mindful of everything that concerns the present time.
