Pastor Jan DautzenbergPastor Jan Dautzenberg, our previous parish priest, has been appointed Vicar in Maasbree. He had been our faithful, devoted and kind parish priest for many years. To him, we owe our deep gratitude and appreciation for his loving service and dedicated zeal in leading and guiding God’s flock.

To fill up the position he has left, Fr. Marc Louie Calo, a member of the Mission Society of the Philippines (MSP) stationed here in the Netherlands, was appointed to take his place and to continue his mission.

So our community invited him on November 25, 2016, to celebrate the Holy Mass with us as our way of expressing our joy and gratitude for his acceptance of the new assignment. It also serves as a welcome gesture on our part since we cannot attend his Installation as the new parish priest of Tegelen, Steyl and Belfeld on Novembblog_parishpr_400x223iner 27, 2016. His mother and cousin came with him and joined us in the Eucharistic celebration.

Afterward, they came to our reception room where a sumptuous Filipino breakfast was prepared for them. Naturally, we went to greet them. We especially congratulated Fr. Marc and sang “Happy Birthday” to him as it was also his birthday. What a fitting occasion: on his birthday, a new chapter of his life begins. Surely our Lord, who had chosen him for this task, will also give him all the graces he needs to carry out his new mission.

To Fr. Marc and Pastor Dautzenberg we promise our continued prayerful support. May God keep them in his love and make of them priests and shepherds after his own heart.
