When the weather is fine and sunny, our old and infirm Sisters love to go to the garden. Since they cannot anymore walk without the aid of a walker or wheelchair, our young Sisters see to it that they get their “roundtrip ticket” to the garden. It is like a treat to them and they enjoyed it. Our 89-year old Sr.M.Jacinta is so happy that at her age she could drive the small motor-scooter that was donated to us – but, of course, with our Sister-Infirmarian always walking beside her. It is fun for them and also a joy for us to see them happy and relaxed. They always look forward to this little trip around the garden. Afterwards they relate it at table when we speak during meals and they never have enough stories to tell. Their joy is contagious.
