I read from the Feast Magazine, June 2020 issue an article by Bo Sanchez entitled: God Protects His House. I know I am the “house” of God, the “temple of the Holy Spirit,” but I have never seen it the way Bo described it. His reflection is simple but profound.

Read the article. I scanned and inserted it here. (I hope Bo will not mind it) and you will understand what I mean. I am seeing this Scripture passage in a new light: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy (1Cor.3:16-17).

It was as if a bulb inside of me lighted up, telling me, “Hey, you are protected. The Master of the house sees to it that no one can just enter it. He secures His house so well, and no one can trespass and plunder it. And if anything happens to this house, whatever it may be, He will turn it for the best. Nothing happens without His permission. And, more importantly, He has assigned Angels to guard His house. “For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:11)

Can you imagine that? He has placed a whole host of heavenly “Security Guards” around His house – around each of us! What have we to fear? Our “Security Guards,” the Angels, protect us! God, Himself, who dwells in us, will fight for us!
